Advocates on Behalf of Los Angeles Business

The Southern California Development forum is an association of professionals in real estate, design, engineering, finance and construction who meet monthly to informally share their ideas, interface with dynamic speakers discussing topical issues, and open doors to new opportunities.

The Southern California Development Forum (SCDF) was formed in 1984 to provide leaders in the real estate community an opportunity to keep abreast of development trends, issues and challenges. With several hundred members, the SCDF is composed of commercial and industrial developers, real estate attorneys, financial institutions, corporate land-use planners, architects, engineers, general contractors and the real estate leaders of Southern California's entertainment firms.

Did you know that as of July 1st the cost of a new building or a renovation went up? And, not just by a little. Depending on the size of the building or space, the additional costs go up proportionally. It hits almost every aspect of the design and construction process. The selection of furniture, lighting, controls and more becomes increasingly important.
